Name: Nobara Kirakino
Roleplayer: Niitari
Age: 42
Worship: Hayashi Animaru
Weapon: Next to teeth and claws, he has a massive iron mallet only he can lift. He also has a black bladed katana with a red hilt, but he hardly ever uses it these days.
Species: Wulfen
Gender: Male
One of the Eastern Clans' great Wulfen warriors, through his deeds and influence in battle, Nobara has become something of a legend, with all of maybe two songs sung about him. Surely not a fantastic legend such as others are noted for, but he is greatly respected in some circles. Having come from humble beginnings to attain such prestige is no small feat, but he lacks any real pride in it. Nobara felt that whatever opportunities came to him in life, they ahd to be born of Hayashi's own will, and so he took to everything with passion and joy. When he found skill with food and was offered an apprenticeship as a chef, he quickly accepted. It seemed to be a rather blatant sign that Hayashi had laid out his path for him. How wrong he was. Nothing is ever so obvious. One must hunt and search for meaning if they are to find their own. And so, Nobara found himself in a dilemma. The order came from their Clan leader to serve in their great Crusade. The DeathWatch had sent out the order for a Dead World, and the army had to act. But the call came for his brother, who, at the time, was bedridden with a horrible injury that had maimed his leg and side. He could not fight, so he put it from his mind to go. It grieved him greatly. He knew his brother would not even survive the march. But then, that night, he had a dream. A vision more like. He saw a great wolf, as large as the mountains, standing over him with fire burning in its eyes. It stabbed a burning sword into the ground, and when it touched the earth, it bled into ashes and ros again as a white Wulfen, howling at the moon. The wolf said, "Go!" and go, Nobara did. A fifteen-year-old Nobara, so sure that the what he had sen was Hayashi himself, answered the order and joined the Crusade in his brother's stead, believing himself divinely chosen. And so he was plunged into a long and bloody career in the military. Though he only ever saw two Dead Worlds, he went on many Crusades and fought many battles, scoring a long list of victories and scars to remind him of them. Seldom was he ever the one who watched from a distance. He wanted to be in the thick of it that he might better be able to guard his packmates. When he was older, around late thirties, he found himself to be dreadfully unhappy. He had his moments, but he never felt very sure in life. His purposelessness led him to wander the world in search of Hayashi's calling for his life. Occasionally he acts as a sell-sword or errand boy, but he only does it to make a means for himself. His true goal is to learn what Hayashi will teach him and hopefully find a way to answer his calling. Nobara comes across as a big, mean brute, toughened by a hard life. But he never bullies the weak or oppresses the small. He believes greater power comes from restraint and mercy. Not that he does not kill others anymore. He kills lots and finds some small pleasure in it. But killing needlessly or for the sake of killing is not his style. Nor is bullying. He often champions the lesser, teaching brutes their lessons, most often the hard way. People generally come to like him once they get to know him, for he is rather nice. He is not to be mistaken for one of those "hard shells, soft teddies on the inside" though. Nobara is very fierce when confronted and easily fights with a blind rage. It makes him look like some berserker at times. He stays quiet most of the time, only speaking when spoken to or when he feels it's necessary. The fewer words the better. He likes to speak in riddles, having memorized many sayings from the Eastern lands where he comes from and in other places throughout his travels. Nobara is a massive Wulfen at seven feet. White fur covers his muscled body, and his piercing eyes are a venomous green. A jagged scar cuts through his right eye, while more crisscross about his fists and wrists from much hand to hand combat. He travels barefoot and often wears navy trousers and a smoky blue kimono. A tattoo mars his left shoulder. It is a symbol of the Ancient East, and it roughly stands for "ashen victory", a sign of victory paid at the highest cost, a symbol both of great victory and great tragedy. He does not say what made him get the tattoo, but he grows sad whenever he looks at it.
